Extension Programme
As part of the extension programme, of our college the staff and students community decided to set up a library to the students belonging to the SabariBalasram, Aranmula. They are provided with books and set up a small library. The programme will be continued in the coming years too.
Aids awareness programme
Road show and street play was organised in the Pandalam to create an awareness in the peoples.
Every year during the ThiruvabharanaGhoshayathra the extension club of the college provide drinking water facility to the pilgrims.
A homeopathy camp in association with local gramapanchayath. Medical check of the students as well as students of the neighbouring schools was done. Preventive medicine for dengue fever was also distributed.
One day workshop on Environmental Education for teacher trainees in collaboration with WWF Kerala state centre.
Cultural exchange programmes
Cultural exchange programmes expose students to different culture and to provide trainees to broaden their horizon and to exchange ideas and experiences with their counterparts.
Value education programmes
To inculcate the spirit of value and national integration biographies of nation builders are read in the morning assembly.
1) Value education classes for students of practising schools.
Teachers and students participate in extension activities likeVisit to “Saranalayam”(old age home),”SanthiSadanam”(old age home), “SabariBalasramam”. Visit to adopted school etc. and distribute food, learning materials, etc. and entertained the inmates of these institutions.
The college organizes activities addressing environmental issues. A nature club has been functioning in the institution. The teacher- trainees are made aware of the core environmental problems through the activities of the nature club and through other activities like environmental awareness programmes,seminar on climate change for high school students, Sapling planting programme is conducting on World Environment Day.
